Product Development Manager

Your responsibilities

• Initiate and contribute to innovative and sustainable product development projects for adhesives and sealants with focus on reactive polymer technologies
• Identify and initiate technical improvements and cost optimizations by regularly monitoring of existing formulations
• Investigate new raw materials and technically equal alternatives
• Screen technical publications and patent environment in assigned category
• Develop new and review existing laboratory test methods
• Carry out competitor benchmark tests and report results internally
• Maintain technical documentation of products and projects
• Provide technical support to internal stakeholders e.g marketing, production, purchasing and engineering
• Lead and support lab technicians

Your profile

• Completed bachelor degree (HBO) or technical college with focus on Chemistry, Polymer Science or Chemical  Engineering
• Practical experience in research and development of adhesive and sealant formulations
• Broad based knowledge in silane-modified and silane-terminated polymer chemistry
• Knowledge in other reactive polymer systems is a plus
• Very good MS Office and SAP skills
• Language skills Dutch and English is a must
• Ability to work under pressure, ability to work in a team, high social competence combined with good communication skills
• Reliability, sense of responsibility as well as independent and structured working style
